Job Requirements

1+ year barista experience including manual espresso and milk steaming
Manual dexterity able to carry various objects, operate order terminal, and operate kitchen/barista equipment
A team player with good communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Very good physical condition and endurance
A positive and welcoming presence with guests
Flexible weekend availability
Must be available for shifts as early as 6am and as late as 6pm

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year barista experience including manual espresso and milk steaming
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing and preparation techniques
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Positive attitude and professionalism in all interactions
Basic math skills for operating payment terminals

Job Duties

Greet and care for all guests
Answer customer questions regarding ingredients using a deep and confident knowledge of our menu
Take orders while paying attention to details such as preferences of coffee blend and dairy
Craft hand-tamped Intelligentsia coffee drinks
Serve beverages and prepared food like cookies, pastries, and muffins
Receive and process payments for cash and credit cards
Keep the bar area clean
Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
Comply with health and safety regulations
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
