Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous barista experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Ability to follow HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
  • Ability to operate POS equipment
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience preferred
  • Ability to prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks according to standard recipes
  • Experience operating POS devices for order entry and payment processing
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP food safety guidelines
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in a foodservice environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
  • Serves as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in customer buying decisions
  • Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
