Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to follow HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
- Ability to operate POS equipment
- Able to perform repetitive tasks
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Ability to prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks according to standard recipes
- Experience operating POS devices for order entry and payment processing
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety guidelines
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in a foodservice environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- Enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
- Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Serves customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- Serves as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in customer buying decisions
- Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
