Job Requirements
- Availability to work Monday to Sunday including weekends
- Ability to work opening shifts starting as early as 5:00 am and closing shifts out by 5:00 pm
- Food handler's permit
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication abilities
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrates a customer focused customer first attitude
- Knowledge of or ability to learn POS system for cashiering duties
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
- A food handler's permit is required
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment
- Detail oriented
- Clear communication skills
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume
Job Duties
- Uses a guest first decision making process in prioritizing duties
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service
- Has a positive attitude and creates a rapport with customers
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- Exhibits a high level of product knowledge including ingredient and allergen information and answers customers' questions
- Takes orders from customers and handles customer payment transactions
- Prepares coffee-related drinks including espresso in alignment with Top Pot's recipe and quality standards
- Displays and serves doughnuts pastries sandwiches and bottled beverages
- Observes and restocks inventory levels and communicates product supply needs to supervisor
- Cleans espresso machine and maintains clean and sanitary work and service areas
- Cleans and ensures cleanliness of bathrooms and dining area including bussing tables emptying trash washing dishes scrubbing and wiping bathrooms sweeping and mopping floors
- Counts money makes change balances cash drawers and is responsible for accurate cash handling
- Practices food safety policies and procedures at all times
- Adheres to Top Pot policies procedures and training guidelines
- Position may or may not hold a key to the cafe
- Additional duties may be assigned
