Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of barista experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine maintenance preferred
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
Valid food handler's card preferred
Ability to operate POS systems accurately
Must adhere to health and safety regulations
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative

Job Qualifications

2+ years experience working as a barista or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine cleaning and maintenance preferred
Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for coffee and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Food handler's card a plus
Retail experience in a store setting a plus

Job Duties

Prepare a variety of espresso-based beverages including lattes cappuccinos and mochas according to Urth Caffe's high standards
Prepare coffee beverages using various methods such as pour-over cold brew smoothies and other seasonal drinks
Prepare and serve food items including pastries sandwiches and salads
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Provide excellent customer service ensuring that customers have a positive experience
Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately
Adhere to all health and safety regulations including espresso machine maintenance and cleaning
Conduct line busting during peak periods to expedite customer orders
Work independently during shifts with self-directed initiative
Promote new coffee offerings and seasonal specials
Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours of availability
