We are currently seeking an experienced barista to join our energetic team. This full-time role offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour and provides an excellent opportunity for career growth within the coffee service industry. As an experienced barista at Pitango, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional espresso-based beverages including cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and customer preferences. Your expertise in operating espresso machines and grinders with precision is crucial to maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Beyond beverage preparation, you will play an important role in fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere by delivering outstanding customer service, managing orders efficiently, and resolving customer concerns professionally and promptly. Your duties also include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring inventory levels are adequate, and assisting with supply ordering. At Pitango, all team members are cross-trained in various roles within the cafe, giving you the chance to expand your skill set and contribute to multiple facets of the daily operations.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring and training less experienced baristas, helping to develop a cohesive and highly competent team. You will be expected to uphold strict safety and sanitation standards, ensuring both staff and patrons enjoy a safe environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling with shifts available during the day, evening, and night, including weekends and holidays. - At least 1-2 years of barista experience
- Ability to operate espresso machines and related equipment

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and teas to customers according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and care
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and offering product recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, equipment, and dining areas
- Ensure inventory is stocked and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Monitor the quality and consistency of coffee and beverages to meet company standards
- Process payments and provide change accurately
- Manage customer concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Train and mentor less experienced baristas, ensuring that all team members are following proper procedures and maintaining high standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for both staff and customers
