Job Requirements
- Food handler's certification required or must obtain within 30 days post-hire
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Capability to use hands for precision tasks
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, and reach
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, or ramps as needed
- Ability to smell and taste for quality control
- Must listen and communicate effectively
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Age 18 or older
Job Qualifications
- Passion for coffee and food
- Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Basic math and computer skills
- Existing food handler's certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to punctuality and consistent performance
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Age 18 or older
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional hospitality to guests, teammates, and suppliers
- Make and serve a selection of beverages using various brewing methods
- Prepare and serve delicious food
- Stay updated on Blue Bottle's beverage and food offerings through tastings and trainings
- Taste beverages regularly to ensure quality and uphold standards
- Create community in cafes by sharing knowledge and passion for coffee
- Support team with cleaning, dishwashing, sweeping, dusting, mopping, and organizing
- Promote company sustainability goals
- Uphold health, food safety, and safety guidelines
- Foster a safe and respectful working environment
- Complete Blue Bottle Academy training and 90-day validation post-hire
