Job Requirements
- Valid food handler's card preferred
- ability to work full time with flexible schedule
- acceptable background check
- ability to perform physical tasks related to food preparation and service
- reliable transportation to the job location
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or coffee preparation beneficial but not required
- ability to operate POS systems
- strong customer service and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety standards like HACCP preferred
- ability to work varied shifts including potential weekend hours
- capacity to stand for extended periods
- willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- relays customer concerns to supervisors
- serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
- demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- serves as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards
- performs other duties as assigned
