The Golf Tournament Barback position is a seasonal role with Oak View Group running from February 9, 2026, through June 9, 2026. The role is critical in ensuring that bar stations are fully stocked, clean, and efficiently organized to support bartenders during high-volume golf tournament events. The seasonal nature of this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in event hospitality while working for an industry-leading company. The Golf Tournament Barback works directly with bartenders and other event staff to maintain a fast-paced and seamless beverage service environment. Responsibilities include restocking beverages such as beer, wine, liquor, and mixers, replenishing ice and supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event. The role requires physical stamina to carry and move heavy items up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods during tournaments. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least minimum age to serve alcohol based on state law
  • able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand and walk for long periods outdoors
  • available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • possess reliable transportation
  • punctual and dependable
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • prior experience in barback or food and beverage roles preferred
  • ability to follow alcohol service policies and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Stock bar stations with beer, wine, liquor, mixers, ice, cups, napkins, and garnishes
  • refill ice bins and restock supplies throughout the tournament shift
  • assist bartenders with maintaining smooth and efficient service during peak times
  • maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including wiping counters and removing trash
  • break down boxes, remove empty bottles/cans, and keep storage areas organized
  • assist with setup and breakdown of bar areas before and after service
  • transport beverage inventory and supplies to designated bar locations
  • ensure supplies are properly stored and rotated to maintain quality
  • follow all alcohol service policies and safety procedures
  • report low inventory, damaged items, or issues to supervisor
