The role of a Bar Staff Member at Live Nation is critical in supporting the success of concerts and live events. This position involves staying informed about current menu items and descriptions to effectively assist guests. Bar staff members will follow special event guidelines and perform various essential side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, which may require lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Additionally, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of bar equipment is a vital part of the job. The role demands performing opening, running, and closing side duties according to the House of Blues (HOB) policy, including properly disposing of trash and recyclable products in accordance with local codes, operating the trash compactor, and ensuring responsible alcohol service per local ordinances and company policies.
This position requires maintaining safety and sanitation standards while keeping all bars and ice bins adequately stocked according to venue specifications. Working at Live Nation entails being part of a fast-paced, often loud and dynamic environment where prolonged standing and physical activity are required. Candidates should be comfortable working late hours and have a flexible schedule to meet the demands of live events. The company values interpersonal communication skills, teamwork, and cultural tolerance as fundamental attributes for success in this role. Certification in Responsible Alcohol Training or an equivalent is also a mandatory requirement. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience interacting positively with people, ability to recognize valid identification, and prior experience in a live music environment.
Live Nation is deeply committed to equal opportunity employment, embracing diversity and inclusion across all aspects of its workforce. The company actively supports applicants regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other legally protected status. Live Nation also complies with fair chance hiring ordinances and offers reasonable accommodations for disabilities and religious practices to ensure all candidates have the support they need to succeed.
