Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • availability to work the entire event day, including setup and teardown
  • reliable transportation to and from Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva, IL

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • previous barback, food service, or event experience preferred
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat, humidity, wind, or rain
  • ability to take direction, stay organized, and maintain a fast pace during busy periods
  • availability to work the entire event day, including setup and teardown
  • reliable transportation to and from Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva, IL

Job Duties

  • Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, and other supplies throughout the event
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, collecting trash, and removing empty containers
  • refill ice bins and ensure bars are stocked and prepped during peak times
  • transport inventory from storage areas to bar stations as needed
  • monitor supply levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Lead Bartender or Event Supervisor
  • support in bar setup and breakdown before and after the event
  • follow all health, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures
  • remain attentive and responsive to the needs of bartenders and guests
  • all other duties as assigned
