Job Description
Kessler Hospitality is renowned for its portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels, each offering a unique blend of luxurious accommodations, enriching ambiance, and intuitive service. With properties strategically located across Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Kessler Hospitality creates memorable experiences that are deeply influenced by distinctive art, music, and cultural elements. Each hotel is designed to reflect a redefined Bohemian luxury that appeals to individualist travelers seeking style, comfort, and originality.
Among its prestigious properties is the Grand Bohemian Lodge, a AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge situated on the falls of the iconic Reedy River in the heart of Downtown Greenville, South Carolina. This property embodies the perfect harmony between natural beauty and luxury, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, earth-inspired design elements, and a thoughtfully curated art collection. Guests at the lodge enjoy a range of amenities, including an outdoor bar and restaurant called Between the Trees with picturesque views of the river, a spa, an art gallery, a fitness center, and hiking trails. The lodge also offers a beautifully manicured event lawn ideal for various social gatherings, making it a prime destination for both relaxation and adventure.
The role of the Barback at Kessler Hospitality is a vital position within the hospitality team, ensuring the bar operates smoothly and effectively to uphold the brand’s reputation for best-in-class service. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and proper stock levels behind the bar and supporting bar staff in organizing and managing bar operations throughout their shift. The Barback plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment that enhances the overall guest experience.
Key responsibilities include requesting and verifying all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, and bar-related food items, ensuring they are properly stocked and organized. Knowledge of all bar products is essential to support smooth service. The Barback must complete side opening and closing duties diligently, contribute positively to guest interactions to resolve any problems or concerns, and adhere strictly to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Attention to cleanliness and organization of the bar area is paramount to maintain operational standards and guest satisfaction.
The position demands a friendly and professional demeanor as the Barback interacts directly with guests, addressing their needs promptly and courteously. Operating and maintaining bar equipment and tools is also included in the role, along with other duties as assigned by management. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality who thrive in a dynamic and guest-focused environment.
