Job Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment is a plus
- Food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
- TIPS certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills
- Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate in the English language
- Ability to perform chemical handling cleaning techniques and use of equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights holidays and weekends
- Must be physically fit to lift pull and push items up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to stand walk reach and bend throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment is a plus
- Food handling certification within first 90 days of employment
- TIPS certification within first 90 days of employment
- Outstanding guest services skills
- Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages and basic bar operations is a plus
- Ability to communicate in English
Job Duties
- Prepare the bar area for service ensuring supplies glassware and garnishes are stocked and readily available
- Assist bartenders in preparing and garnishing drink ingredients such as cutting fruit mixing syrups and arranging cocktail elements
- Keep ice bins filled and ensure bartenders have ample ice throughout the shift
- Collect used glassware wash and polish it before returning to the bar
- Regularly restock liquor beer and other beverage supplies during busy periods
- Dispose of empty bottles cans and trash promptly to maintain cleanliness
- Keep the bar area clean and tidy wiping down counters and cleaning spills
- Work closely with bartenders servers and other associates to provide seamless service
- Assist in setting up and organizing special events or promotions at the bar
- Assist with tracking inventory levels notifying management of low supplies and help with restocking
- Maintain a positive upbeat attitude and infuse energy and enthusiasm
- Perform any other reasonable duties required by management
