Job Requirements

Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment is a plus
Food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
TIPS certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
Must possess outstanding guest services skills
Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to communicate in the English language
Ability to perform chemical handling cleaning techniques and use of equipment
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights holidays and weekends
Must be physically fit to lift pull and push items up to 100 pounds
Must be able to stand walk reach and bend throughout shift

Job Qualifications

Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment is a plus
Food handling certification within first 90 days of employment
TIPS certification within first 90 days of employment
Outstanding guest services skills
Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages and basic bar operations is a plus
Ability to communicate in English

Job Duties

Prepare the bar area for service ensuring supplies glassware and garnishes are stocked and readily available
Assist bartenders in preparing and garnishing drink ingredients such as cutting fruit mixing syrups and arranging cocktail elements
Keep ice bins filled and ensure bartenders have ample ice throughout the shift
Collect used glassware wash and polish it before returning to the bar
Regularly restock liquor beer and other beverage supplies during busy periods
Dispose of empty bottles cans and trash promptly to maintain cleanliness
Keep the bar area clean and tidy wiping down counters and cleaning spills
Work closely with bartenders servers and other associates to provide seamless service
Assist in setting up and organizing special events or promotions at the bar
Assist with tracking inventory levels notifying management of low supplies and help with restocking
Maintain a positive upbeat attitude and infuse energy and enthusiasm
Perform any other reasonable duties required by management
