Job Description
The hiring establishment is organizing a prominent golf tournament and is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Barback to join their team for the event duration. This company specializes in hosting high-profile sporting events where exceptional guest service and smooth operations are key to success. As a seasonal opportunity, the role offers an hourly wage of $19.00 and is designed to support the beverage service team during the fast-paced and dynamic environment of the golf tournament.
The Barback role is vital in ensuring that the bartenders have everything they need to provide quick and efficient service to guests. This involves maintaining well-stocked bar stations, replenishing supplies consistently, and keeping the bar areas clean and organized throughout each shift. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills. The Barback helps facilitate excellent customer experiences by supporting bartenders and occasionally assisting guests directly.
This position is seasonal, starting from April 13th, 2026, through August 13th, 2026. It demands flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach, as it operates during peak tournament hours where high volume and pace are standard. The role is ideal for individuals who thrive in busy environments, possess a customer-service mindset, and are committed to maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The position will remain open for applications until July 10th, 2026, giving interested candidates ample time to apply and be considered.
The Barback will be responsible for vital operational tasks, such as stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, cups, ice, and napkins. They will assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down bar stations before and after service. Maintaining cleanliness is a continuous priority, including refilling ice bins and coolers, managing trash removal, and ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions. Proper storage and rotation of bar products following FIFO (First In, First Out) standards are crucial to maintain quality and compliance.
This role is designed for individuals who prefer active, on-the-feet work with a strong sense of teamwork. Although previous barback or hospitality experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this position accessible to enthusiastic candidates willing to learn and contribute. The role also emphasizes attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work extended shifts, including weekends and tournament days. Candidates should meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol service as per venue policies and are encouraged to obtain TABC certification if not already certified.
Overall, this seasonal Barback position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a prestigious sporting event, develop practical skills in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a team delivering exceptional hospitality services. The position supports smooth beverage service and overall guest satisfaction, making it essential to the success of the golf tournament's operations.
