Their platform supports an impressive portfolio that includes the ownership and operation of seven world-class venues alongside partnerships with iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This broad reach and commitment to excellence have positioned OVG as a trailblazer in enhancing live entertainment experiences worldwide.
The Barback role at Oak View Group offers an exciting opportunity to become an essential part of this dynamic team, supporting the flow and efficiency of beverage service during live events. This position is hourly paid at $18.00 per hour and is tip eligible, providing a valuable earning potential in addition to the hourly wage. Part-time employees enjoy benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with company matching, reflecting OVG's commitment to the welfare of its workforce.
The Barback is pivotal in backing up bartenders by ensuring the bar remains fully stocked throughout events. This includes restocking non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, maintaining ice wells, managing keg supplies, sweeping and mopping the bar area, and preparing draft beer and wine for guest orders. The role demands maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation around the bar environment, upholding health and safety procedures, and ensuring all company policies regarding alcohol dispensing are strictly followed. The Barback also plays a critical role in guest service by recognizing and addressing situations involving visibly intoxicated guests to help bartenders manage the venue safely.
This is a fast-paced, event-driven job requiring excellent attendance and availability to work scheduled events as business needs dictate. The ideal candidate will thrive in team-oriented settings, demonstrate adaptability during busy periods, and communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues, management, and guests alike. Experience working in a similar high-volume bar environment is preferred, alongside possessing any necessary food handling certificates and alcohol service permits according to state and federal regulations.
Working at Oak View Group means joining a company united by the mission to disrupt and elevate the sports and live entertainment industry through diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
