Job Requirements

  • Minimum relevant bar experience
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must meet standards of appearance and maintain high personal hygiene
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to handle exposure to humidity, steam, extreme temperatures, food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations

Job Qualifications

  • Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the hospitality business
  • Relevant bar experience in a hotel preferred
  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to engage guests at all levels
  • Passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Louisiana responsible vendor card

Job Duties

  • Help the executive chef and sous chefs with restaurant, banquet and specialty dessert menu
  • Assist in bar setup and opening
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in closing bar
  • Stocking the bar stations to par
