Job Description

Fairmont is a globally recognized luxury hotel brand renowned for creating extraordinary experiences by blending unique architecture, expressive decor, artistry, and exceptional service. With properties located in some of the world's most desirable destinations—from the sunny beaches of Hawaii to the vibrant deserts of the United Arab Emirates, and the historic heart of London—Fairmont hotels represent a unique blend of cultural richness, premium hospitality, and outstanding guest experiences. Their commitment is to connect guests with the best aspects of each destination, ensuring that every stay is memorable and marked by superior comfort and style. Fairmont Century Plaza, located in Los Angeles, California, is a part of this prestigious legacy. Originally known as the "Western White House" and a venue that hosted state dinners, the Century Plaza has evolved into a modern luxury hotel that redefines upscale hospitality with its revitalized guest experience, elegant design, and vibrant atmosphere.

The Barback position at Fairmont Century Plaza offers a wonderful opportunity for passionate individuals who thrive in luxury hospitality environments and seek to contribute to delivering exceptional guest service. As a Barback, you will be a key part of the bar team, supporting bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-prepared and fully stocked to meet service standards. This role demands enthusiasm, professionalism, and an energetic approach, as you will be directly engaged in creating memorable moments for guests. The position pays an hourly rate of $22.15 with scheduling based on seniority and business requirements, offering stability and opportunities for growth within the property and the larger Accor group. Employees benefit from discounted hotel room rates and food and beverage pricing across sister properties worldwide, providing a unique work experience enriched by global connections and cultural exchange.

This role is ideal for individuals who have previous experience barbacking in luxury and busy environments and possess strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer. Applicants should be capable of working independently as well as part of a small, cohesive team while maintaining a guest-focused attitude at all times. Fairmont also prides itself on fostering an inclusive work culture where diversity is celebrated, and employees can thrive in a respectful and trustworthy environment.
