Angel of the Winds places a strong emphasis on employee and guest satisfaction, encouraging a positive and out-going attitude that reflects throughout the establishment.
The role offered here is a full-time Barback position, offering a starting wage of $17.15 per hour. As part of the beverage service team, the Barback plays a vital role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that guest service is uninterrupted and seamless. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to manage a variety of tasks that maintain bar cleanliness, stock, and readiness. Responsibilities extend beyond basic support duties; the Barback actively contributes to the overall guest experience by attentively providing friendly, timely service and maintaining the bar area in a neat and organized manner. The role requires dedication to high standards in food safety and sanitation, effective communication skills, and the flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, reflecting the 24/7 operational nature of the resort.
This position is suited for individuals who have experience in food and beverage service environments such as lounges, bars, taverns, or restaurants, especially those familiar with the dynamics of casino operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to multi-task, work independently, and communicate effectively with both guests and team members. The role demands the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy items including kegs, standing or walking for entire shifts, and managing stock and supplies efficiently to support bartenders and maintain bar workflow. Maintaining professional relationships within all levels of the organization and consistently delivering excellent guest service is essential.
Applicants are required to obtain and maintain certain licenses and certifications, including a Class B gaming license, Washington State Health Card, and the Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 12 Mixologist Permit. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.
Overall, Angel of the Winds Casino Resort offers an engaging and dynamic work atmosphere for individuals passionate about hospitality and service, providing opportunities to grow within a team-oriented company that values every employee's contribution toward delivering an outstanding guest experience.
