Job Description

The Georgian Hotel is a historic and iconic hotel located in Santa Monica, California. Established in 1933 and affectionately known as Santa Monica's First Lady, The Georgian Hotel offers guests an unparalleled beachfront experience with stunning views of the ocean and celebrated sunsets. Featuring 84 guest rooms, including 14 ocean-facing suites, the hotel is situated just steps from the Santa Monica beaches, the famous Santa Monica Pier, and iconic Southern California landmarks such as Malibu and Venice. The hotel’s rich history and scenic location make it a prestigious destination for visitors seeking both luxury and charm in a vibrant coastal setting. The Georgian Hotel provides a welcoming atmosphere that offers guests a blend of history, comfort, and modern amenities in a prime beachfront location.

The bar stocker role at The Georgian Hotel plays a vital part in supporting the bar and hospitality team to create an outstanding guest experience. The individual is responsible for restocking and documenting the bars' inventory, maintaining cleanliness in the work areas, and assisting with organizing supplies to ensure efficient and smooth bar operations. This role serves as an essential support position that helps bartenders and bar management by ensuring all necessary items such as drinks, garnishes, glassware, and cleaning materials are readily available and properly maintained. While primarily focused on inventory management and cleanliness, the job also offers opportunities to support customer service functions under the direction of bartenders and management.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment. Employees in this role must be prepared to meet varying work schedules that may occasionally extend outside of regular hours based on the hotel's needs, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. This role is suited for those who thrive in a service-oriented environment and are motivated to contribute positively to a guest-focused luxury hotel operation.

The Georgian Hotel operates within the Evolution Hospitality group, a dedicated lifestyle hospitality company under Aimbridge, known for managing a curated collection of luxury, boutique, and lifestyle hotels and venues across North America. Evolution Hospitality emphasizes a culture that values honesty, humility, intellectual ability, and personal and professional growth, fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment. Employees are regarded as integral to the brand’s success and are encouraged to develop both personally and professionally while delivering exceptional service.

This role is ideal for candidates with a few months of related experience or an equivalent combination of training. Certified Alcohol Awareness is required to comply with state regulations, and strong communication skills in English are necessary. The Georgian Hotel, supported by Evolution Hospitality, offers a competitive benefits package for full-time employees after an initial waiting period, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, the company offers a daily pay option upon request, emphasizing its commitment to employee well-being and financial flexibility.
