This job opening is for the position of Barback within a dynamic Food and Beverage team. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining the bar environment, including replenishing glassware, garnishes, and condiments, as well as managing the rotation and storage of stock to comply with business and health standards.

Additionally, the Barback must be skilled in troubleshooting equipment and handling routine tasks such as changing beer kegs and soda bibs. Effective communication with management and guests is essential, as is the willingness to undertake side work and any additional duties assigned by bartenders or supervisors. Preferably, candidates will have at least two years of experience in a high-volume bar setting and prior guest service experience, which will enhance their ability to perform effectively in this energetic role.

Job Duties

  • Ensure exceptional guest service and teamwork
  • ensure their bar is kept clean
  • stock is properly stored, rotated, and unexpired
  • check identification of guests under the age of 30 to prevent underage service
  • keep glassware, condiments, and fresh garnishes cut and replenished
  • monitor, maintain and properly rotates stock/orders
  • promptly carry out duties as needed per bartenders and management
  • change empty beer kegs and soda bibs correctly
  • ensure all operational equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot common equipment issues
  • empty garbage, glass, and cardboard bins in the designated disposal area
  • adhere to business policies and procedures regarding alcohol service and complete all related training programs/certifications
  • complete all side work tasks
  • communicate professionally with management and involve them in guest recovery issues immediately
  • engage with guests, providing recommendations and enhancing their experience
  • other duties as assigned
