Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in food and beverage operations preferred
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor
- Strong ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Effective communication skills
- Professionalism and positive attitude
- Local knowledge of the community and attractions preferred
- Ability to attend training and department meetings
Job Duties
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. standards
- Assist bartending staff as needed
- Set up a bar thoroughly and swiftly
- Maintain service and sanitation standards according to health code regulations
- Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer
- Replace empty beer kegs with full ones
- Slice and pit fruit used to garnish drinks
- Wash glasses, bar, and equipment and polish bar fixtures
- Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
- Assist dining room servers in food and beverage service, set tables, serve guests as directed, keep menus clean, and maintain clean tables
- Assist providing tables with beverages
- Remove solid linens and replace them with clean linens
- Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
- Polish silver and glass as needed
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage
- Seat guests in the dining room
- Mop floors
- Remove empty bottles and trash
- Mix and prepare flavors for mixed drinks
- Maintain daily operations of the restaurant through execution of daily side work
- Keep bar area clean and organized at all times
- Attend all required training and department meetings
- Perform all other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned
