The Barback role at Legends is a pivotal position within the hospitality team, specifically designed to support bartenders in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is critical to maintaining smooth bar operations by ensuring bartenders are well-equipped and able to deliver prime guest service efficiently. The Barback's responsibilities focus on supplying bartenders with necessary items, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and anticipating the needs of the bar during service hours. This position requires a proactive individual who can multi-task in a dynamic environment and sustain high standards of service and safety. The Barback will be responsible for daily stocking of bar items, filling ice bins, and assisting with overall cleanliness and order of the bar area. Promptness and preparedness at the start of each shift, compliance with company policies, and delivering quality guest service are essential elements of the role. The Barback must also demonstrate the ability to collaborate with co-workers to uphold service standards and contribute to a positive team-oriented work culture. Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, guest relations, and service etiquette is necessary to excel in this role. This position demands physical stamina including the ability to lift and transport weights between 10 to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and sufficient mobility to perform tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods. Working extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays during Yankee Stadium events is also required to meet operational demands. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • must have two (2) to three (3) years of experience working in a fast paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant
  • ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
  • excellent communication skills in English
