Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in food and beverage operations preferred
  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and well organized under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple tasks
  • Good time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • English language and professional communications skills required

Job Duties

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. standards
  • Assist bartending staff as needed
  • Set up a bar thoroughly and swiftly
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards according to health code regulations
  • Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer
  • Replace empty beer kegs with full ones
  • Slice and pit fruit used to garnish drinks
  • Wash glasses, bar, and equipment and polish bar fixtures
  • Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
  • Assist dining room servers in food and beverage service, set tables, serve guests as directed by the server, keep menus clean, and maintain a clean table between servings
  • Assist with providing tables with beverages
  • Remove solid linens and replace them with clean linen
  • Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
  • Polish silver and glass as needed
  • Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage
  • Seat guests in the dining room
  • Mop floors
  • Remove empty bottles and trash
  • Mix and prepare flavors for mixed drinks
  • Maintain the daily operations of the restaurant through daily side work
  • Keep bar area clean and organized at all times
  • Attend all required training and department meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, planned or unplanned
