This role is a key support position within the food and beverage team, primarily assisting in the delivery of excellent service to restaurant and bar guests. The position involves important responsibilities such as stocking bar items, assisting with recipe batching and garnish preparation, maintaining cleanliness of taps and appliances, and supporting bartenders during peak business hours by processing orders and taking customer requests. The individual in this role must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Attention to customer satisfaction is paramount as the role requires cooperation with the service team to meet and exceed guest expectations. Physical endurance is necessary, as the job entails standing for extended periods, lifting up to 45 pounds, and maneuvering equipment that can weigh up to 250 pounds.

Additionally, this role supports the overall operational efficiency by adhering to safety and security policies, reporting any maintenance or safety issues, and maintaining a neat and orderly work environment. Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency are important for managing point-of-sale systems and daily operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior hospitality or restaurant experience and be certified or willing to obtain Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification.

Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to follow safety and security policies
  • Must maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification preferred
  • Good communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of table and bar service
  • Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Stock bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies
  • Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, washing and preparing garnishes
  • Ensure taps, coolers, and appliances like blenders or coffee makers are clean and in working order
  • Assist bartenders with taking customer orders and processing orders in the point-of-sale system during peak hours
  • Clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware
  • Clean bar and table surfaces throughout the shift
  • Wipe down chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces
  • Remove and dispose of trash bags from receptacles in and around the bar area
  • Sweep and mop in and around bar service and customer areas
  • Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine product is stored safely and secured
  • Wash glassware and dishes if steward is behind
  • Assist service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
