The Barback position at Legends is a vital role within our restaurant and hospitality operational framework. This role ensures that the bar functions smoothly by supporting bartenders in maintaining stock levels, preparing essential supplies, and managing the overall cleanliness and organization of bar areas. The Barback works in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail, anticipation of needs, and a proactive approach are crucial to providing exceptional guest service. Being on time, prepared, and ready to meet the demands of each shift are fundamental expectations. This full-time role requires flexibility as the bar operates during nights, weekends, holidays, and special events such as those held at the AT&T Discovery District. Candidates with prior experience in fast-paced bars, high-end clubs, or restaurants will find this position aligns well with their skills and offers an opportunity to grow within a reputable company.

The Barback contributes significantly to the guest experience by ensuring the bartenders have all the necessary tools and supplies to perform their duties efficiently. Duties include stocking bar items daily, refilling ice bins, anticipating operational needs, and maintaining a clean, organized bar environment. Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards is mandatory to maintain the highest level of service quality and safety. The role demands strong multitasking ability, physical stamina to lift and carry heavy loads, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Certifications such as TABC and food handler are required to comply with legal regulations and company standards. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must have TABC certification
  • must have food handler's certification
  • must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift and carry 10-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • complete all required company and job-specific safety training

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet service standards
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations
  • strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • ability to read, write, and speak English for guest communication
  • ability to lift and carry 10-30 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and AT&T Discovery District events
  • physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant preferred

Job Duties

  • stock bar items daily and refill ice bins as needed
