The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, recognized for its commitment to creating a supportive and engaging workplace culture. Since its founding in 2009 by Steve Palmer, IRHG has grown to encompass over 30 dynamic locations across the region. The company prides itself on placing its people first, fostering a familial atmosphere where employees are valued beyond their roles. IRHG offers a range of generous benefits and clear pathways for career advancement, ensuring that anyone with ambition and dedication can grow within the organization. This ethos of care and development not only enhances employee satisfaction but also translates into superior service experiences for guests. At IRHG, hospitality is more than just a job—it's a lifestyle and an exciting journey that invites every team member to contribute and thrive.
The Barback position at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is integral to maintaining the fluid operation of fast-paced bar environments. Barbacks support bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, organized, and hygienic, which aids in delivering efficient and friendly service to patrons. This role demands high energy, quick thinking, and a positive attitude, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy fast-moving environments and teamwork. Specific responsibilities include stocking and setting up bar products before service, supporting bartenders throughout shifts, and maintaining overall cleanliness of bar stations and utensils. Barbacks also prepare garnishes and replenish snacks, contributing to a seamless service flow.
Candidates for this role should be at least 21 years of age with a strong understanding of common drink recipes and spirits. Effective communication skills are essential, as the Barback interacts with managers, colleagues, and guests alike. The position requires a flexible schedule that can accommodate day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, along with the physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods with occasional lifting and bending. The work environment is lively and rewarding, offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing hospitality team that values personal and professional growth. IRHG fosters an equal opportunity workplace, ensuring all employees are treated fairly and inclusively across all aspects of employment.
