Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • experience in food and beverage operations preferred
  • excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
  • basic knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
  • good time management skills
  • English language and professional communications skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. standards
  • assist bartending staff as needed
  • set up a bar thoroughly and swiftly
  • maintain service and sanitation standards according to health code regulations
  • stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer
  • replace empty beer kegs with full ones
  • slice and pit fruit used to garnish drinks
  • wash glasses, bar, and equipment and polish bar fixtures
  • clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
  • assist dining room servers in food and beverage service, set tables, serve guests as directed by the server, keep menus clean, and maintain a clean table between servings and menu knowledge
  • assist with providing tables with beverages
  • remove solid linens and replace with clean linen
  • transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
  • polish silver and glass as needed
  • present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage
  • seat guests in the dining room
  • mop floors
  • remove empty bottles and trash
  • mix and prepare flavors for mixed drinks
  • maintain the daily operations of the restaurant through the execution of daily side work
  • keep bar area clean and organized at all times
  • attend all required training and department meetings
  • perform all other duties as assigned, planned or unplanned
