This Barback position is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the bar by assisting bartenders and servers, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the bar area adheres to all health and safety standards. The Barback plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in maintaining the flow of service during busy periods, enabling bartenders to focus on crafting cocktails and attending to guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing bar recipes according to brand specifications, ensuring that frozen mugs are available at all times through proper rotation, and performing detailed cleaning of bar equipment to prevent build-up and maintain hygiene. They will work closely with bartenders to manage inventory, including ordering and stocking wine, beer, liquor, and perishables at the start of each shift. The Barback will also be tasked with keeping the bar and lounge areas clean, clearing tables when servers are not present, and ensuring glassware is cleaned, stocked, and correctly rotated to meet service demands.

In addition to operational duties, the Barback will be expected to maintain the cleanliness of pump rooms, coolers, and storage areas, along with duties such as soaking and cleaning soda hoses and nozzles and replacing draught beer kegs. Understanding health department regulations is crucial, as the Barback must maintain a sanitary work environment consistently.
