As a company that manages high-end dining and entertainment facilities, Troon fosters an environment where associates embody the core values of hospitality, integrity, and respect while ensuring guests enjoy their time in an atmosphere that is both welcoming and refined.
The role of a Barback at Troon involves supporting the bartender in delivering outstanding beverage service to guests. This position is integral to the smooth operation of the bar, focusing on tasks like cleaning, stocking, and assisting with beverage preparation while strictly adhering to established service and safety standards. The Barback not only helps maintain an efficient and organized bar area but also contributes to cost control and inventory management. By undertaking duties such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and the setup and breakdown of portable bars for catered events, the Barback plays a versatile role in enhancing the overall guest experience.
This is a dynamic position that requires someone who can manage a wide range of responsibilities with attention to detail and a proactive attitude. The Barback supports the team by ensuring all supplies are well-stocked, communicating any needs promptly to management, and assisting in inventory control by monitoring beverage and food product usage carefully. Notably, the role includes moments of direct guest interaction, where the associate helps create personalized and genuine experiences by responding to guest requests and concerns, demonstrating professionalism, and upholding the company’s values and standards.
Additionally, the Barback must be physically capable, as the role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting of supplies up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. This job offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, particularly those seeking to grow within a company recognized for excellence and career development. Employment is typically full-time or part-time, with compensation commensurate with experience, and includes comprehensive training such as ServSafe Certification (Food and Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent, ensuring all associates meet state requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Working at Troon means joining a team committed to professionalism, teamwork, and guest satisfaction. The Barback plays a crucial supporting role that helps maintain the high standards expected by Troon’s clientele, while also providing a foundation for career advancement within the hospitality sector. This position demands exceptional personal hygiene, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
