Job Requirements

must be at least 18 years old
valid work authorization
ability to stand for long periods
physical capability to perform cleaning, lifting, balancing tasks
ability to communicate effectively in English
punctuality and reliability
flexibility to occasionally work overtime and assist with additional responsibilities
positive attitude and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment preferred
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
strong customer service orientation
basic knowledge of beverage preparation and bar operations
ability to operate point of sale (POS) systems and other mechanical devices

Job Duties

greet and interact with guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable
assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service
smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars
prepare garnishes for drinks
maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager
maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments
stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs
replenish ice at bar
empty bar trash cans
attend all scheduled employee meetings
additional tasks as assigned
