The Barback Staff position at Northgate Resorts plays an essential role in the food and beverage service operations within the resort’s bar and dining areas. This role is integral in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience by supporting bartenders and servers with timely preparation and maintenance of the service environment. This seasonally available position can be full-time or part-time and reports directly to the Food Service Manager. As a Barback, the individual is responsible for greeting customers warmly, understanding their beverage preferences, and assisting in the preparation and serving of drinks and food items. The role demands attention to sanitation and safety, as well as thoroughness in stocking and maintaining the bar's inventory according to TABC date regulations and company standards.

Beyond routine tasks, the Barback collaborates with management to support daily specials and promotions and helps keep the bar area clean and well-organized. Physical stamina and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are critical, alongside strong communication and customer service skills. Candidates must have prior experience in a fast-paced bar environment, alongside mandatory TIPS training and state-required certifications related to alcohol service.   • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management

Job Duties

  • Accurately complete task in a timely manner
  • Maintain clean bar and storage areas
  • Ensure product dates are within TABC date specifications
  • Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
  • Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
  • Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
  • Ensure proper prep is being done for daily and weekly needs
  • Maintain proper storage and stocking in correct amounts in specific locations
  • Transfer products between locations
  • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
  • Collaborate with management on specials
