Job Description

Mainsail Lodging & Development is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to delivering exceptional service and memorable guest experiences. Known for its commitment to quality and excellence, Mainsail operates a variety of esteemed properties, including the Luminary Hotel, which upholds high service standards that set it apart in the hospitality industry. The company prides itself on fostering a positive and professional work environment where team members are encouraged to contribute their best while embracing a fun and energetic workplace culture. Mainsail's approach to hospitality blends traditional customer service values with modern best practices, ensuring that guests receive personalized attention and an unmatched service experience.

The role of Prep/Bar Back at the Luminary Hotel is a critical support position responsible for assisting bartenders and ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. As a vital member of the hospitality team, the Prep/Bar Back's duties include maintaining a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked bar area while providing friendly and knowledgeable interactions with guests. The position is tailored for enthusiastic, energetic individuals who take their work seriously but maintain a lighthearted and approachable demeanor. This role is integral in supporting the overall service experience by preparing beverage garnishes, rotating inventory, cleaning bar tools, and assisting with timely food delivery from the kitchen to the bar.

Employment at Mainsail is typically full-time or part-time, with full-time associates enjoying comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as career development opportunities. The company emphasizes employee growth and satisfaction by offering training programs, tuition reimbursement, and various leave options to support work-life balance. The hourly wage is competitive within the hospitality industry and reflects the importance of the role in maintaining the Luminary Hotel's esteemed reputation.

In addition to the physical demands of prolonged standing, bending, and heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), the role requires mental agility to juggle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Effective communication, initiative, and teamwork are essential traits for success. The Prep/Bar Back must exhibit a sense of ownership and responsibility in their daily tasks and interact positively with team members and guests alike. The company also values confidentiality and upholds equal opportunity employment principles, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive. Overall, this role is perfect for individuals looking to advance their hospitality careers while working in a dynamic and supportive setting.
