The Barback at Flight Club plays an integral supporting role within the Front of House team, reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager. This position can be part-time or full-time and is non-exempt under FLSA status. The Barback is essential in assisting bartenders to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, organized, and clean. This role demands high energy, multitasking capabilities, and proactive anticipation of bartender needs during high-volume service. The Barback supports the smooth operation of the bar by restocking ingredients, preparing garnishes, managing inventory carefully, and maintaining a clean workspace to allow bartenders to focus fully on service. The job requires knowledge of Flight Club’s crafted cocktails and menu items to contribute to fast, efficient, and knowledgeable customer service. Barbacks are also expected to uphold the company’s health and safety standards, demonstrating excellent personal hygiene and punctuality for all scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays. Additionally, they participate in rigorous training programs and exams to ensure compliance with food and beverage standards.
