We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic barback to join our team. The barback will be responsible for preparing cocktail batches according to set pars and anticipated business, maintaining cleanliness throughout the bar and floor areas, and ensuring that bartenders and drink runners are well-supported with necessary supplies. The role also involves handling stock deliveries, managing glassware, refreshing fruit garnishes, and maintaining overall cleanliness in compliance with health and safety standards. This position may include working varying shifts such as day, mid, and night shifts with 8 to 10 hour durations, providing flexibility and a balanced work schedule.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess relevant certifications such as TABC and food handler certifications, along with at least one year of experience in a bar setting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience working in a bar environment
- TABC certification
- Food handlers certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including 8 hour and 10 hour shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

Job Duties
- Prepare the bar recipes (batches) in accordance to pars and anticipated business
- Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guest and drink runners by assisting bartender with their job functions
- Ensures that bar and floors are clean and used glassware is removed from bar tops
- Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Health Department standards
- Checks glass washers for proper chemical mixture and volume
- Receives and delivers all products to appropriate outlet and stocks in accordance to specification
- Stocks bartender wells in accordance to specifications with all product and supplies required
- Cuts fruit to specification and restocks fruit caddies
- Collects trash from all outlets throughout shift, as well as wiping down walls behind trash containers
- Collects all excess glasses from bars and restocks them in their appropriate outlets in accordance to specification, along with retrieving bar glassware from dish areas
- Organizes and cleans walk in where kegs, beer, and fruit are located
- Sweeps and mops walk in
- Replaces and rotates draught beer kegs
- Ensure customer satisfaction by smiling and answering any questions our customers may ask
