Specifically, the resort is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bar Back to become an integral team member. This role is vital to the smooth operation of the bar service, supporting bartenders and servers in providing memorable hospitality. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and stock of the bar area, managing requisitions for liquor, beer, and wine, and ensuring fresh garnishes and perishable supplies are properly handled each day. The ideal candidate should be quick on their feet, with an engaging attitude, and a passion for hospitality, creating an excellent foundation for those embarking on a career as a bartender. Job Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 25 lbs
  • Customer focused and motivated attitude
  • Relevant experience in hospitality or bar service is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • Assist the bartenders in securing requisitioned liquor, beer and wine
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, to include ensuring clean glasses are stocked
  • Be the master of the bar, understanding the details of the operation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist with maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
