The role of the Barback/Busser is crucial to the smooth operation and success of the food and beverage services at the facility. This position is responsible for supporting the bars by assisting with food and beverage requirements, managing inventory, and ensuring the availability and freshness of products served to customers. The Barback/Busser works closely with the Bar Manager to maintain quality standards and ensures that proper grooming and sanitation procedures are strictly followed. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with suite staff, kitchen personnel, and the stewarding department to uphold service standards throughout the events. The Barback/Busser is often the unseen force that keeps bar operations efficient by restocking supplies, managing orders, and maintaining cleanliness, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. This role requires flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to the demands of the event schedules. The position is ideal for individuals who are proactive, have strong communication skills, and are committed to providing outstanding service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be TABC certified
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours
  • High school education is desired
  • Basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures
  • Sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money
  • Basic working knowledge of bar operation

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be TABC certified
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours
  • High school education is desired
  • Basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures
  • Sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money
  • Basic working knowledge of bar operation
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to communicate and execute instructions via radio
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur

Job Duties

  • Assists and oversees all food and beverage requirements pertaining to the bars
  • Assists with the ordering, receiving, and inventory of all accountable items
  • Ensure adequate storage of product by continual supervision of stock levels
  • Ensure quality products are delivered in a fresh and timely manner as guided by the Bar Manager
  • Works in conjunction with suite staff, kitchen personnel and stewarding department
  • Ensure that proper grooming and sanitation procedures are followed
  • Supports event schedules and assignments based on business demands
  • Ensure customer service complies with standards of service
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships
  • Other duties as assigned
