The position available is that of a Barback, who plays a critical role in supporting bartenders and cocktail servers in providing exemplary beverage service. This is an hourly, part-time or full-time role with a starting wage of $11.00 per hour. The Barback ensures that workstations are well stocked with necessary supplies such as garnish, glassware, ice, and liquor. Their efforts contribute to smooth and efficient bar operations, which directly impact customer satisfaction and service quality. In this role, the barback is responsible for rotating stock to ensure freshness, washing and stocking glassware, and maintaining the supply of fresh fruit garnishes. They also handle the physical demands of filling ice bins, carrying ice to service areas, and maintaining cleanliness behind the bar, including wiping surfaces and emptying trash. Additionally, the barback performs routine maintenance such as checking kegs, replacing bar mats, and cleaning beer-related drainage areas. All tasks are performed while complying with Wyoming’s strict liquor laws and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Experience or familiarity with point-of-sale systems and the capability to obtain a Wyoming Gaming Commission work permit are important. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Check with and assist bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies for workstation
  • Rotate stock as necessary, wash and stock glassware, maintain stock of fruit, fill and replace as needed
  • Fill ice bins, empty garbage, replace trash liners, wipe and pick up surfaces as needed, check kegs, replace dirty bar mats, sweep floors, clean screens in glass washer, wipe bottles, clean spouts, clean beer drains, gun drains, counter drains, and ice bins
  • Cut, slice, and peel perishable garnishes and fruits
  • Scoop ice from bins, transport to service areas and replenish ice containers
  • Box and save empty liquor bottles for later return
  • Transport taps, replace and perform routine maintenance on heavy beer kegs
  • Check station before, after, and during shift to insure proper setup and cleanliness
  • Comply with all Wyoming liquor laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
