The Barback role is pivotal to the bar's operations, acting as the essential support system for the bartenders and ultimately enhancing the overall guest experience. The Barback assists with all opening and closing duties, which include restocking garnishes, napkins, straws, glassware, and ensuring that bartenders have all necessary tools readily available. A key aspect of the role is maintaining an adequate supply of ice, liquor, wine, and beer, which requires vigilance and proactivity. The Barback is also responsible for checking taps and bar appliances to make sure they are functioning properly, performing minor repairs, or replacing kegs as needed.

Maintaining cleanliness is a significant part of this position. Tasks include wiping down all surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles. The Barback plays an important role in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and reporting usage to the Bar Manager, which helps in efficient stock control and minimizes waste. Job Duties
