Barback

In this role, you will be responsible for various duties that focus on maintaining the bar’s readiness and cleanliness while assisting bartenders with their job functions. You will prepare bar recipes according to brand specifications and anticipated business volume, ensuring consistency and quality. Your role includes following strict protocols for mug rotations to keep mugs frozen at all times, adhering to balon cleaning procedures to prevent buildup, and maintaining detailed cleanliness of items such as soccer balls, bases, spouts, magnets, and chill sticks used for balones. Maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with health department standards forms a key part of your responsibilities, including checking and maintaining the proper chemical mixtures in glass washers.

Stock management is another vital element of your role, requiring you to maintain par stock levels by placing timely orders for wine, champagne, beer, liquor, and perishables. You will receive and deliver all products to the designated outlets and stock them according to specification. Additionally, you will need to cut fruit to specification, prepare condiment caddies, distribute clean bar towels while collecting and discarding soiled ones, and collect excess glasses from bars to restock in appropriate outlets.

Your organizational skills will be instrumental in cleaning and maintaining pump rooms, coolers, and storage areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning soda bag-in-box hoses and nozzles, and replacing and rotating draft beer kegs. You will also be expected to attend and successfully complete all required training programs to stay updated with the company standards and procedures. Customer satisfaction is central to this role, requiring a friendly demeanor, willingness to answer customer questions, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit.
