The Bar Supervisor position at Climate Pledge Arena is a part-time role compensated at an hourly rate of $26.00. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth bar operations during event days. The Bar Supervisor will oversee a team of bartenders and service staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include managing bar setup and closing, monitoring staff performance and appearance, maintaining inventory and budget controls, and supporting the serving team during busy periods. This role demands a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
  • frequent walking throughout the entire facility for the entire length of shift
  • constant standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • able to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in a bar environment with moderate to high noise levels during busy times

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory position
  • minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender
  • knowledge in bartending techniques, recipes, sanitation, and safety issues
  • basic math skills
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Oversee bar set-up and closing procedures on event days
  • ensure that all company policies are followed by associates
  • observe, evaluate, and document job performances of associates
  • recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and discharges
  • ensure associates meet appearance standards and follow all uniform guidelines
  • order and maintain product inventory
  • complete daily sales reports and reconciliation
  • assist with end-of-month inventory and financial reporting
  • assist bartending associates in serving guests as business levels demand
