Job Description

Gringo Grill + Cantina, part of the Converge Hospitality Group portfolio, is a vibrant dining establishment known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its lively atmosphere, quality food, and extensive beverage offerings. This restaurant and bar specialize in creating an inviting environment where guests can enjoy a diverse menu paired with expertly crafted cocktails, a curated selection of beer and wine, and warm, attentive service. The establishment places a strong emphasis on community engagement, team collaboration, and operational excellence to stand out in a competitive hospitality market. With a commitment to quality and innovation, Gringo Grill + Cantina seeks to foster a workplace culture that nurtures talent and provides opportunities for growth and development within the hospitality industry.

The Bar Supervisor role at Gringo Grill + Cantina is a critical entry-level supervisory position responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations. This full-time, hourly role requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality, skilled in beverage service, and who excels in leadership and staff management. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Bar Supervisor ensures smooth daily operations behind the bar while maintaining compliance with all relevant liquor laws and company policies. This role involves supervising bartenders, barbacks, and servers, managing bar inventory and ordering processes, and supporting the rollout of beverage programs and promotions in coordination with the leadership team.

Candidates for this position must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). A key expectation is the ability to work regular bar shifts with a particular emphasis on Friday and Saturday closing shifts, demonstrating leadership by example in service quality and guest interaction. In addition to shift work, this role includes one designated administrative day per week dedicated to self-training, staff training, inventory management, or other management tasks, emphasizing ongoing professional development and operational efficiency.

The Bar Supervisor will play an instrumental role in balancing the responsibilities of direct bar service with supervisory duties, ensuring that the bar operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage schedules effectively, and a proactive approach to handling issues related to guest experience and operational challenges. Collaboration with the General Manager, Kitchen Manager, and other leadership team members is essential to align bar operations with overall restaurant goals and event requirements.

This supervisory role also involves critical inventory control functions such as placing orders with approved vendors, receiving and verifying deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and minimizing waste and shrinkage. The Bar Supervisor must be well-versed in beverage preparation techniques and have a keen eye for quality and consistency to maintain the establishment's standards. Overall, this role is designed for a motivated hospitality professional seeking to advance their career in bar management within a dynamic and supportive team environment, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the guest experience at Gringo Grill + Cantina.
