The Bartender role at Outback Steakhouse is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about mixology and customer service. This position entails crafting beverages to perfection while ensuring responsible service and maintaining a clean, safe bar environment. As a Bartender, you are instrumental in delivering an "AUSS-SOME" dining experience by engaging with guests, recommending the best drinks, and supporting servers with product knowledge. The role requires extensive familiarity with the food and drink menu, emphasizing the ability to upsell and enhance the customer’s dining experience through personalized service. Bartenders at Outback Steakhouse are expected to uphold safety and sanitation standards and be adept at working in a fast-paced environment. The pay rate is competitive starting at $18.20 per hour. Additional benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, tip opportunities, life insurance, and meal compensation when eligible. Notably, the restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, allowing staff to spend quality time with family and friends. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and or move up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required for California positions and can be completed during training
  • Must comply with drug and alcohol policies
  • Must complete electronic employment eligibility verification

Job Qualifications

  • For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date)

Job Duties

  • You will support our commitment to bringing our spirited drinks to life for each and every Guest
  • As a Bartender, you'll help to provide each customer with an AUSS-SOME dining experience in the restaurant, that makes each Guests day better
  • Responsible for exceeding the customer expectations at the bar by providing them with friendly, prompt, and attentive service that is tailored to the customer's preference
  • Will efficiently craft every drink to perfection with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs, while serving customers responsibly
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of our food and drink menu and be able to recommend and upsell
  • Will be a resource for Servers in the restaurant with answering questions about our Spirited Drinks
  • Committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation standards and all safety procedures during the shift
