Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- minimum age of 18 years according to state alcohol service laws
- valid Food Handler Certificate
- Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission certification
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- willingness to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
- ability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- must be at least 18 years of age based upon state requirements to serve alcohol
- ability to speak, write and understand simple instructions in English
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
- must have a Food Handler Certificate and be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission certified
- must be a team player and customer-service oriented
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- familiarity with POS system preferred
- basic computer skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Adheres to the company’s food safety policies and customer service principles
- complies with the company’s alcohol service policy and all food and beverage regulations
- prepares drinks including seafood cocktails according to company recipes
- shucks oysters and prepares tostadas according to company recipes
- enters food and beverage orders into the point of sale system and keeps records of oyster tags
- handles customer complaints or problems in a positive, courteous manner
- properly processes customers’ payments and provides accurate change
- ensures the balance of the bank at the end of the shift
- maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the bar area
- restocks and replenishes bar supplies and performs opening and closing duties as assigned
