Job Requirements

  • Current alcohol service certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Food safety certification required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Work performed in a fast-paced, service-oriented bar and dining environment
  • Full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
  • Prior server experience strongly preferred
  • Supervisory or lead experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and comfort with technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for scheduling, reporting, and communication
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team while remaining calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through
  • Private club or member-driven hospitality experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Serve as a hands-on leader and primary bartender during service periods, setting the tone for hospitality, professionalism, and efficiency
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and bar support staff
  • Lead by example on the floor, supporting both bar and dining service as needed
  • Ensure exceptional member and guest experience through attentive service and product knowledge
  • Maintain compliance with all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, as well as club policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and service standards for all bar areas
  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and controls for beverages, glassware, and supplies
  • Monitor and manage beverage cost, revenue performance, and budget goals in partnership with the Food & Beverage Director
  • Utilize point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, reporting, inventory tracking, and communication
  • Partner with culinary and events teams to execute member events, private functions, and special programming
  • Stay current on beverage trends, member preferences, and vendor offerings to enhance the club’s beverage program
  • Address member feedback and service recovery with professionalism and urgency
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned, including opening and closing responsibilities
  • Attend department and management meetings and complete other duties as assigned
