Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • some college or degree preferred
  • two years previous managerial experience preferably in food or bar services industry
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • ability to see at various distances and use peripheral vision
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • flexibility and mobility in workspace
  • ability to work irregular hours including during high-pressure periods
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • manual dexterity to handle preparation and equipment operation
  • ability to bend, reach, and carry heavy trays
  • exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • some college or degree preferred
  • two years previous managerial experience preferably in food or bar services industry
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food, liquor, beer, and wine
  • ability to manage staff and resolve conflicts
  • experience with inventory management and cost control
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Manage bar operations to achieve sales and profit goals
  • provide direction and supervision to back of house staff
  • ensure preparation, portioning, and presentation of all beverages meet quality and sanitation standards
  • maintain proper inventory levels through correct ordering and usage
  • train, develop, and conduct performance reviews for bar and kitchen personnel
  • oversee compliance with safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service regulations
  • handle financial accountability including payroll, supplies, inventories, food costs, and expenses
