The role of Kitchen Manager at Applebee's is a dynamic and impactful position responsible for overseeing kitchen operations to ensure food quality, safety, and efficient service. This position involves supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of management experience in the restaurant, entertainment or hospitality industry
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • responsible alcohol service and food safety certifications as required
  • kitchen managers must have current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 12 hours
  • ability to lift 25-50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of management experience in the restaurant, entertainment or hospitality industry
  • responsible alcohol service and food safety certifications as required
  • current alcohol and food certification meeting state requirements for kitchen managers
  • valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Duties

  • supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and quality food preparation
  • manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with regulations
  • train new kitchen team members and provide ongoing coaching
  • collaborate with the general manager to meet restaurant operational goals
  • ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with certifications
  • monitor kitchen workflow to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction
