This position is for a Restaurant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, a luxury hotel brand within Marriott's portfolio. The role is integral to ensuring the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton are graciously and thoughtfully delivered daily. These Gold Standards serve as the foundation of the brand, guiding the team to continually improve and exceed guest expectations. The Restaurant Manager oversees the daily operations of restaurants, bars, and possibly room service, with the responsibility to supervise staff, maintain high sanitation and service standards, and assist during peak service periods. This leadership position requires collaborating with team members to foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation, while driving strong financial performance and guest satisfaction. A key part of the role is developing and implementing staff training programs to meet departmental goals and maintain compliance with food and beverage policies, including adherence to hospitality laws and regulations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years experience in food and beverage or related area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited institution in relevant field with at least 2 years related experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including peak meal periods
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Compliance with local, state and federal liquor laws
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues quickly

- Computer literacy including financial and inventory management systems
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
- Or two-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Two years experience in food and beverage or related area
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership and team management experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Understanding of liquor laws and hospitality regulations
- Ability to handle guest complaints effectively

Job Duties
- Supervises and manages employees
- Manages all day-to-day operations
- Maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
- Reviews staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
