Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Bar Manager to oversee all aspects of our bar's day-to-day operations. This pivotal role involves managing bar staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations, and focusing on customer satisfaction. The Bar Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth by controlling costs, minimizing waste, and implementing strategies to enhance the guest experience. In addition to maintaining product quality and operational standards, the Bar Manager is responsible for fostering a positive, productive work environment through training, coaching, and mentorship of the team. Ensuring the bar area adheres to health and safety standards is also a critical duty.

As the Bar Manager, you will be the face of the bar, continuously engaging with guests to build lasting relationships and respond promptly to any concerns or complaints. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager to manage cash handling procedures, staff scheduling, and overall restaurant operations to uphold our high standards. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about the food and beverage industry, with the ability to lead a team while delivering superior service consistently. The position demands an individual who is organized, communicates effectively, and demonstrates strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • prior front of house and back of house manager experience
  • minimum 3 years of restaurant experience
  • supervisory experience
  • strong leadership and management skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow directions with focused attention
  • ability to motivate employees positively
  • calm and tactful demeanor
  • adherence to company uniform attire and appearance standards
  • ongoing certification maintenance (LTO, new menu, etc.)

  • knowledgeable about beer, wine, and spirits
  • aptitude for sales growth through guest cultivation and retention

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality beverages are served to customers
  • manage and track inventory to ensure adequate stock
  • create a welcoming environment for guests and maximize customer satisfaction

  • regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • train and supervise bar staff so they are knowledgeable about product and policies
  • oversee the cleanliness of the bar area while being alert for possible health hazards and regulation violations
