Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bar Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the bar’s daily operations. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage staff effectively, maintain inventory with precision, and ensure full compliance with all alcohol and safety regulations. The Bar Manager will be instrumental in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering consistent, high-quality beverages and cultivating a welcoming environment. Beyond operational management, this role involves fostering a positive and productive team culture through training, coaching, and mentoring bar staff.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by maximizing customer satisfaction and controlling costs, including managing inventory, reducing waste, and optimizing labor efficiency. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and to handle any customer concerns with tact and professionalism. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the restaurant’s good image and suggesting continuous improvements. Additionally, the Bar Manager will assist in restaurant management tasks such as cash handling, shift scheduling, and adherence to company policies.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of beverage trends, vendor management, operational budgeting, and food safety standards including ServSafe Alcohol, Food, OSHA, and HACCP compliance. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, communicating actively with team members, and occasionally lifting materials up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Prior front of house and back of house manager experience
  • 3 plus years of restaurant experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Follows direction with focused attention
  • Ability to positively motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards
  • Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations
  • Adhere to company uniform attire and appearance standards
  • Completes all ongoing certifications and validations
  • Must possess proper food handler and alcohol dispensing certifications
  • Can intelligently talk about beer, wine, and spirits
  • Should have an aptitude for driving sales through cultivation of new guests and retention of current guests

Job Duties
