We are currently seeking an experienced Bartender who excels in crafting signature cocktails and serving beverages with flair and precision. As a Bartender at Loews Philadelphia Hotel, your responsibilities will extend beyond simple drink preparation. You will be called upon to engage warmly with guests, tailoring the drink selection to their preferences and creating unique cocktails that enhance the guest experience. Job Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience required
- Bartending experience highly preferred
- TIPS certification or ability to obtain required
- Strong guest service skills
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food and beverage with bartending preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and preparation techniques
- Understanding of legal regulations for alcohol service with TIPS certification or ability to obtain
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Basic proficiency with computer systems for orders and inventory
- Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
- Create and recommend unique cocktails tailored to guest tastes
- Ensure all drinks meet quality presentation standards
- Greet and engage guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude
- Take drink orders and answer inquiries about menu options
- Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally
- Set up and maintain the bar area for each shift
- Monitor and report inventory levels to avoid shortages
- Follow safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations including verifying guest identification
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service
- Assist with restocking and barback duties during busy periods
- Foster a positive team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
