Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Certified Food Service Manager, TIPS or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language
  • Regular attendance conforming to standards

  • Basic knowledge of wine and spirits and food
  • Polite, friendly and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Certified Food Service Manager, TIPS or equivalent certification
  • Effective leadership, management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assure that all bars are kept in proper working conditions
  • Provide all supplies needed for bar prior and during functions and events
  • Restock beverages after all functions
  • Support bartenders and beverage servers by stocking service areas and maintaining supplies
  • Assist with service of beverages and transportation of food trays
  • Participate in monthly inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in lounge and service areas
  • Prepare and inspect all service ware prior to use
  • Assist in post shift clean up and side work duties
  • Maintain organized storage space
  • Attend all training sessions and meetings
  • Monitor guest consumption to ensure safety
  • Complete closing duties including securing inventory and supplies
  • Promote teamwork and communicate issues promptly
  • Greet guests professionally and up-sell beverages to enhance guest experience
  • Prepare mixers and garnishes and set up bar service areas
